Intel during its first-quarter earnings conference announced their production of "Bay Trail" processors which are to be used in ultrathin notebooks and sold as low as USD $200.
Bay Trail will utilize a quad-core architecture, which should provide more processing power than today’s dual-core Atom configurations. In terms of performance, Bay Trail will move the budget-conscious Atom platform closer to Intel’s premium Core series processors.

Samsung produces Chromebox mini PC with an Intel Core i5 processor.
n Samsung unveiled it's 1.9GHz Intel Core i5 processor chromebox that comes with 4GB of RAM and a 16GB solid-state drive configuration. Connectivity options remain a big part of the machine, with a DVI port, a Display Port, and six USB 2.0 ports, in addition to Wi-Fi options.
